Scandinavian Airlines Moves Enterprise Data Warehouse from DB2 to SQL Server 2005

Scandinavian Airlines, which carries 40 million passengers a year, is a pioneer in generating business intelligence (BI) from its data to more efficiently meet customer needs. But its original data warehouse, which was deployed on an IBM mainframe and the DB2 database, had become expensive to run and maintain, and its batch-based system made it difficult to provide analysts and other users with the timely information they needed.
